Does it cost extra to report to CarFax?
Nope! Reporting your undercoating service is completely free and included with your appointment.
What information is shared with CarFax?
Our software partner will automatically send CarFax your vehicle identification number (VIN) and/or license plate number, date of service, and the service description. We never send CarFax any customer information, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses. All information shared with CarFax is deidentified.
Can I opt-out of my service being reported to CarFax?
Absolutely! If you do not want your service reported to CarFax, please inform us in writing prior to your appointment. We can then block your data from being ported to CarFax. Since this process is automated, if you do not inform us prior to your appointment, the system will automatically send your service.
What if I already had a service this year—can it be added?
Yes, we can add past services. Please contact us with your VIN and we’ll take care of it.
Will this show as maintenance or rust protection?
It will show as either an undercoating inspection or an undercoating application on your official CarFax maintenance history.
Why does this help with resale?
Dealerships and private buyers often check CarFax reports before purchasing. A record of regular rust protection shows that your vehicle has been well maintained.
